As the sun rises from the east, the Eastern Sierras take on a glow that all but guarantees a good day of shooting. Our group of photographers was headed to one of the many gorgeous mountain lakes that can be found almost anywhere in the area. As we were driving down the highway, we couldn’t resist pulling over to capture some shots of the unnamed mountain (at least to me) as it started to glow in the morning sun. I am not 100% where we were, but I think we were somewhere in Owens Valley. This beginning to our day exceeded our expectations during the ensuing hours.
